Cincinnati 2012 Preview
The Bearcats had an outstanding season in 2011 finishing 10-3. Back to back losses to West Virginia and Rutgers prevented UC from winning the Big East title. Graduated quarterback Zach Collaros and Isiah Pead were the best backfield combination in the Big East in 2011. Only an injury to Collaros in 2011 kept the Bearcats from winning the Big East title. The defense was solid in 2011 and will miss defensive tackle Derek Wolf and linebacker JK Schaffer.
Cincinnati will have hard time replacing Collaros, Pead, Wolfe, and Schaffer. Munchie Legaux obtained valuable experience starting for the injured Collaros and he has the ability to be a good quarterback. The two top receivers Kenbrell Thompkins and Anthony McClung return. On defense 7 starters return. Safety Drew Frey and defensive end Walter Stewart lead the Bearcats. Some talent returns for Cincinnati in 2012 but it will take time to jell 8 wins for UC.
