Central Michigan Chippewas

Home of the Central Michigan Chippewas, Central Michigan University, or CMU, is located in the city of Mount Pleasant. CMU varsity athletic teams are NCAA Division 1 participants and compete in the Mid-American Conference. The men field teams in baseball, basketball, football, wrestling, cross-country, and track & field. The women field teams in basketball, field hockey, gymnastics, soccer, softball, volleyball, cross-country, and track & field.
The school's mascot is Flying 'C', and the school's colors of gold and maroon are always seen on Chippewas fans, athletes, and alumni when in attendance at CMU sporting events. Local venues for Central Michigan University include Kelly/Shorts Stadium, McGuirk Arena, and Bill Theunissen Stadium.
