Oklahoma Cowboys Football 2011 Recap
The Cowboys were another team that had a banner season in the Big 12 in 2011. Oklahoma State won the Big 12 title and beat Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl to finish 12-1. Quarterback Brandon Weeden and wide receiver Justin Blackmon terrorized opposing defenses last season. The running game was not bad as Joseph Randle gained 1216 yards. The defense gave up a lot yards 456 per game and points 26 a game but the Cowboy defense was an astonishing +21 in turnover margin to lead the nation.
Don't expect Oklahoma State to be as good as last season. They lost Weeden and Blackmon and that will be enough to push the Cowboys down a little bit in 2012. Joseph Randle will be a marked man especially early in the season as the Cowboys attempt to rebuild their passing game. The defense will be better but they will not match the +21 turnover margin of 2011. The Cowboys will be at or around the eight game win total.
