The team looks to pick up, right where it left off in 2013 with team leader and manager Ron Roenicke. The former player and 2011 runner up to manager of the year, looks to his young team to stay focused and win games. The team has Ryan Braun signed for the next eight year. Braun is an All-Star last year having hit 111 RBI's and hitting .332 last season. He started 2012 season the same, with great hitting and on pace with career numbers. The team has very good pitching in Yovani Gallardo and dominant starter Zack Greinke is having another excellent year. The remaining pitchers are Kameron Loe, Shaun Marcum, Manny Parra, Juan Perez, Francisco Rodriguez, Jose Veras and Randy Wolf. The Brewers are expected to win the division again this year but team management wants much more then that. Let's see how the 2012 Milwaukee Brewers will fair and come out to Miller Park today. |

Miller Park
Miller Park is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is the major league home for the Milwaukee Brewers. In the forty third season of this storied franchise the team looks towards the NL Pennant. Miller Park will host some exciting games this year. The domed stadium can hold 41,900 and is located at One Brewers Way. It replaced the old Milwaukee County Stadium and has become a fan favorite. Fans here love the beauty of the ball park, the value they receive and the new high definition scoreboard that was installed 3 years ago. The team draws from all over Wisconsin and is tops in league attendance. See this architectural phenomenon today.
The Brewersback to their winning ways.
The Milwaukee Brewers had a solid season in 2011, going 96-66. After losing Prince Fielder to free agency in the off season, the Brewers still hope to battle at the top of the division. The Brew Crew will still have a lot of power in the NL Central despite losing Fielder and his team leading 38 home runs. The Brewers bats should still be hot in 2012, as Ryan Braun (LF) and Corey Hart (RF) take over the heart of the batting order. Braun hit .332 last season with 33 home runs, while Hart batted .285. Braun likely will not see as many good pitches to hit this season since he no longer bats behind Prince Fielder, but the team's bats will still do damage. The Brewers have also added Aramis Ramirez (3B) from the Cubs. Ramirez batted .306 in 2011. Milwaukee also has one of the better pitching staffs in all of baseball. Yovani Gallardo and Zack Greinke always seem to have great outings. Gallardo is only 26 years old, but he led the team in wins (17), ERA (3.52), and strikeouts (207) in 2011. Greinke put up almost equal numbers last season with 201 strikeouts and 16 wins. The Brewers also still have their closer, John Axford, who had 46 saves last season and only had 2 blown saves. Overall, the Brewers have depth in their team. Powerful hitting and solid pitching should allow the Brewers to compete at the top of the division.
Great Moments in Milwaukee Brewers History
The Milwaukee Brewers have been the perfect example of a successful franchise without tons of playoff success across their history. They have had their moments since arriving back in 1970 to be sure, but they have yet to win a World Series. Still, Brewers fans are among the most dedicated and excitable in the entire league. Here is a look at some of the most memorable moments in Brewers history: The American League based Brewers Move to the National League. Back in 1998, The Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Devil Rays entered the league. This precipitated the Milwaukee Brewers to move over to the National League and join the Central Division. Huge rivalries began building with the Cubs, Cardinals and Reds and now they are bitter rivals. The Brewers now fit in the National League Central like a glove. Hank Aaron's Swan Song Seasons. When Hank Aaron came back in 1975 and 1976 to play for his beloved Milwaukee faithful, nobody cared that it was the Brewers instead of the Braves. They loved Hank all the same. Though his game had deteriorated a good bit by then, the fact he came home for his swan song was enough to make many Brewers fans happy. Miller Park Opening/County Park ClosingMiller Park was something else when it first opened. The retractable roof was something that the average person was not used to seeing, and the ball park was fresh and exciting. At the same time, many were sad to see all the history from County Park being left behind. Regardless, both of these events paired to make it very memorable and bittersweet. Robin Yount Collecting Number 3,000. Yount was a guy that you would never believe was a MLB star. He just did not have that look about him until you put a glove or bat in his hands. Once you saw him in that light, you knew you were seeing someone special. Yount getting that milestone meant the world to the Brewers fans that had watched him for years, and the record books will always show him to be among the best of all time.Brewers Making Playoffs in 2008This was a huge deal given that the Brewers had not seen post-season action in nearly thirty years. It had been 26 years to be exact and the Brewers knew they were working their way back. The biggest thing that this playoff appearance did was to validate the fact that the Brewers are on the way back as a franchise. With some shrewd deals, minor league maturation and smart business decisions, the Milwaukee Brewers seem poised to take that next step once again and contend. These are far from the only important memories in Brewers history. There was, of course, the 1982 season, Paul Molitor's career, Ryan Braun's walk-off home run and several other great memories as well. These are just the memories that stand out to me. What great Milwaukee memories do you remember over the past forty years?
