Kansas State Football Review For 2011
Kansas State raced out to a 7-0 record before back to back losses to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State took them out of the title race. Kansas State recovered by winning the last three regular season games before losing to Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl to finish 10-3. Kansas State gave up 50 points or more during a three game stretch and they lost two. Despite this the Wildcat defense was a +12 in turnover margin in 2011. Quarterback Collin Klein ran for 27 touchdowns and threw for 13. He is one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in the country.
Klein returns in 2012 and should have another big season. The offensive line must replace three starters. The defense has 6 starters back and must improve against the pass. The Wildcats gave up over 260 yards per game. Coach Bill Snyder has rebuilt the program again but the defense will be a sore spot that will keep Kansas State from winning the Big 12. Expect a nine win season.
