USC 2012 Preview
Coach Lane Kiffin has guided USC through a tough probation with no drop off and are in position to break the SEC's strangle hold on the BCS championship. USC was ineligible for a bowl game after 2011 season but the Trojans stayed focused and finished 10-2. Quarterback Matt Barkley is back after completing 69 percent of his passes for 39 touchdowns. Wide receivers Robert Woods and Marquise Lee are back Woods had 111 receptions and 15 touchdowns. Lee had 73 receptions and 11 touchdowns. Curtis McNeal rushed for 1,005 yards and averaged nearly 7 yards a carry. The defense was good last season but had problems in the two USC losses. They gave up 43 to Arizona State and 56 to Stanford.
9 starters are back on offense including most of the offensive line and 8 on defense. Everything is in place to make a serious run at the BCS championship. Oregon and Stanford are not as good as last season so anything less than a BCS championship appearance would be a major disappointment.
