2015 Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons went 10-6 and earned a wildcard spot in the playoffs last season. The team will fight at the top of the division again this year, and they hope to get another chance in the playoffs. The Falcons have a great young quarterback in Matt Ryan.  Ryan threw for 4,177 yards and 29 touchdowns in 2011, helping the offense rank 8th overall in passing yards per game. Michael Turner (RB) will return to the backfield this season.  Turner rushed for 1,340 yards and 29 touchdowns in 2011.  The offense also has some powerful weapons in Roddy White (WR) and Julio Jones (WR).  The two receivers combined for 16 touchdowns and over 2,200 yards last season.  This offense should be dangerous again in 2012. The Falcons' defense ranked 20th in pass defense and 6th in run defense last season. Curtis Lofton (LB) led the team in tackles last year, but he is now with the Saints. Look for Thomas DeCoud (S) to lead the defense in 2012.  DeCoud had 86 tackles and 4 interceptions in 2011.   But, the Falcons will need someone to step up and be a run-stopper in the middle.  Overall, the Falcons will have a great offense again in 2012.  They should be fighting for a playoff spot at the end of the season.
