Lambeau Field is located in Green Bay, Wisconsin and has been the home to the NFL’s Green Bay Packers since 1957. With massive renovations to Soldier Stadium in 2001-2003, Lambeau Field is considered the oldest NFL stadium. The stadium opened September 29, 1957, and has a seating capacity of 73,094, and will increase to 79,594 for the 2013 NFL season.

The stadium was renovated in 2003 to keep it financially competitive with other NFL stadiums. Renovations were done again between 2010 and 2013; these included new sound systems, new scoreboards, renovation of the atrium, and added seats. The addition of extra seats will make Lambeau Field the fourth largest NFL stadium. College and high school games have been held at the stadium, but after two high school games that were played in the rain damaged the field before a Packers game, the stadium asked high schools to avoid using Lambeau Field for future contests.

Wisconsin and Ohio State played an outdoor hockey game in the stadium in 2006, before a crowd of 40,000 plus hockey fans. In 2004, snowmobile racing was held in the parking lot and in 2005 with enough snow on the field, it was held inside the stadium. The last concert held at the stadium before renovations began was Survivor in 1985, there has been only one concert held at Lambeau Field since the renovations, on June 11, 2011 Kenney Chesney and the Zac Brown band performed. If you like the cold weather, there is nothing like catching a December game at Lambeau Field, but make sure to bring an extra jacket.
