UConn Huskies

The UConn Huskies are the varsity sports teams that represent the University of Connecticut.  The Huskies are NCAA Division 1 members and they participate in the Big East Conference, Atlantic Hockey (men), and Hockey East (women).  The men have varsity teams in baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, ice hockey, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, and track & field. The women have varsity teams in basketball, cross-country, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, rowing, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.
Huskies sporting actions take place at home venues like Rentschler Field, Harry A. Gampel Pavilion, Joseph J. Morrone Stadium, XL Center, and J.O. Christian Field.  The University of Connecticut mascot is Jonathan the Husky. Huskies pride is shown in the wearing of the University's colors of blue and white.
