North Texas Mean Green

The University of North Texas is the home of the North Texas Mean Green men and women's intercollegiate athletic teams. The Mean Green is members of the NCAA Division 1 and compete in the Sun Belt Conference but will be joining Conference USA in 2013. Mean Green men have teams in basketball, cross-country, football, golf, and track & field. Mean Green women have teams in basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, track & field, and volleyball. 
The University of North Texas mascot is Scrappy the eagle. Mean Green pride is displayed in wearing white and green at sporting and nonsporting events. If fans want to see the Mean Green live, they can attend sporting events at Lovelace Stadium, Mean Green Soccer Complex, Super Pit/Coliseum, and Apogee Stadium.
