FedEx Field is home to the Washington Redskins of the NFL and is located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. FedEx Field is the second largest NFL venue behind Cowboys Stadium, the stadium holds 85,000 fans for Redskins home games, and other events held at the venue. The stadium opened September 14, 1997 and replaced the old venue Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington D.C. Although the stadium is one of the largest in the NFL, there is a thirty-year wait on Redskins season tickets. The stadium is made up of five levels, the Lower Level, the Club Level, the Lower and Upper Suite Levels, and the Upper Level. The Suite Levels have 15,044 club seats.

The stadium has held five soccer matches, despite not being known as a soccer venue, D.C United of Major League Soccer choose to keep playing at RFK Stadium even after the new stadium opened. The stadium has hosted college games also and in 2004 a game between the Virginia Tech Hokies and the USC Trojans, known as the BCA Classic, brought in 91,665 college football fans.

There have been some great concerts held at the stadium, Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Mudvayne, Linkin Park, and the Deftones performed during the 2003 Summer Sanitarium Tour, other bands such as U2, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, and the Rolling Stones have performed at the stadium. Upcoming concerts will include Kenny Chesney, Eli Young Band, Eric Church, and Kacey Musgraves in May of 2013.
