Great Moments in Nashville Predators History

October 10, 1998- Nashville hosted the franchise's first NHL game against the Florida Panthers. In front of a sellout crowd of 17,298, Florida's Ray Whitney scored the only goal of the 1-0 game and the Panthers' Kirk McLean earned the shutout.
April 11, 2004-Before a soldout crowd at Gaylord Entertainment Center, Tomas Vokoun saved 41 of 42 shots to lead the Predators to a 2-1 victory that cut Detroit's series lead in half. David Legwand opened the scoring at 18:23 of the first when he stole a pass at the blue line and skated in to blast the puck past Detroit goaltender Manny Legace. A little over a minute later, Michigan native Adam Hall blasted a shot between Legace and the left post to make it 2-0 Predators. Detroit's Brett Hull scored off his own rebound at 5:21 in the third period, but Hall fed Scott Hartnell for an insurance goal at 16:03 of the third to make it 3-1 Predators.
