UTEP ended the season in ninth place in Conference USA, posting a 7-9 record in the conference. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included victories against New Mexico State, Clemson, Auburn and Houston, and four overtime wins (SMU, Tulane, Southern Miss and a second defeat of Houston).Among the key returning players for the Miners are 6-10 junior John Bohannon, 6-9 sophomore Cedrick Lang and 6-0 senior Jacques Streeter. UTEP has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 6-5 Twymond Howard, 6-8 Chris Washburn, 7-0 Matt Willms, 6-6 Dwayne Benjamin and 6-5 McKenzie Moore.
