UNLV finished in third place in the Mountain West, with a 9-5 record in the conference. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included victories over in-state rival Nevada, USC, California, Wyoming (twice), then #19 Illinois, then #14 San Diego State, and UNLV's best win of the year, a 90-80 upset of then #1 North Carolina on November 26.Among the key returning players for the Rebels are 6-8 junior Mike Moser, 6-3 senior Anthony Marshall, 6-3 senior Justin Hawkins, 6-11 junior Carlos Lopez, 6-8 sophomore Khem Birch (transfer), 6-8 senior Quintrell Thomas and 6-5 junior Bryce Jones (transfer). UNLV has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 6-7 Anthony Bennett, 6-4 Katin Reinhardt, 6-8 Demetris Morant and 6-1 DaQuan Cook.
