Kevin Sumlin takes over after a successful stint at Houston. Offense was no problem for A&M in 2011 as they averaged 39 points a game. The defense was the problem as the Aggies surrendered 28 a game. Texas A&M gave up 40 points or more four times. Despite the bad defense Texas A&M finished with a 7-6 record in 2011. Losing quarterback Ryan Tannehill will hurt the offense. Texas A&M returns 8 starters on offense including the entire offensive line. Returning rushing leader Christine Michael has All-SEC ability. The offense should be able to score but the defense returns only 5 starters and must improve for the Aggies to be competitive in their season in the SEC. This is not the Big 12 and Texas A&M will finish around .500. |
