TCU won the Mountain West conference in 2011, with a perfect 7-0 record. Highlights of the 2011 campaign included a 38-28 victory over Brigham Young on October 28, and a wild 36-35 win against then #5 Boise State on November 12. Among the key returning players for the Horned Frogs are quarterback Casey Pachall, running backs Waymon James, Ed Wesley and Matthew Tucker, wide receiver Josh Boyce, wide receiver/kick returner Skye Dawson, linebacker Kenny Cain and cornerback Jason Verrett. TCU has several quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including defensive end Devonte Fields (Texas), defensive tackle Joey Hunt (Texas), safety Jordan Moore (Georgia), tight end Griffin Gilbert (Texas) and wide receiver Deante' Gray (Texas). The 2012 TCU schedule features a number of great matchups, among them a non-conference game versus Virginia, a battle with Baylor on October 13 and a late-season schedule that includes the likes of Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Texas and Oklahoma. 2011 TCU Football Rundown

The Horned Frogs won the Mountain West title and 11 games in 2011. TCU won their last eight games and were 11 points away from a perfect regular season. The offense was led by quarterback Casey Pachall. Pachall had 25 touchdown passes  The Horned Frogs had three rushers over 700 yards. Waymon James with 875, Ed Wesley 726 and Matthew Tucker with 702. The TCU defense very good last year as they finished in the top 25 in rushing defense and the top 35 in total defense. 
TCU will be very competitive in their first season in the Big 12. Casey Pachall returns along with backs   James, Wesley, and Tucker. Also the top receivers return for the offense. The offensive line needs a touch up as three starters were lost from 2011. On defense most of the defensive line returns but the secondary needs to be rebuilt. The Horned Frogs should be in the Big 12 title race. Nine wins at least.
