St. John's finished twelfth in the Big East last season, with a 6-12 conference record. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included a 61-58 win over then #18 Notre Dame, and quality victories against Providence, Cincinnati, West Virginia, DePaul (twice) and UCLA.Among the key returning players for the Red Storm are 6-3 sophomore D'Angelo Harrison, 6-8 senior God'sgift Achiuwa, 6-6 sophomore Sir'Dominic Pointer, 6-2 sophomore Phil Greene, 6-6 sophomore Amir Garrett and 6-3 sophomore Jamal Branch (transfer). St. John's has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 6-2 Felix Balamou, 6-8 Jakarr Sampson, 6-8 Christopher Obekpa, 6-4 Darrick Wood and 6-6 Marco Bourgault.
