Southern Methodist finished in eleventh place in Conference USA, with a 4-12 conference record. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included victories over Arkansas-Little Rock, Louisiana Tech, Tulsa, Houston, Texas Christian and Tulane.Among the key returning players for the Mustangs are 6-3 senior London Giles, 6-7 sophomore Leslee Smith, 6-4 sophomore Ryan Manuel, 5-10 junior Jeremiah Samarrippas, 6-8 sophomore Cannen Cunningham, 6-7 junior Shawn Williams and 6-6 sophomore Jalen Jones. Southern Methodist has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 7-0 Blaise Mbargorba, 6-5 Uche Ofoegbu and 6-3 Brian Bernardi.
