2013 Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks went 7-9 and finished in third place in the NFC West in 2011.  They hope that they can improve this season and battle at the top of the division. The offense struggled last season, ranking 22nd in passing yards per game and 21st in rushing yards per game. Tavaris Jackson (QB) had 3,091 yards last year, but he threw 13 interceptions and only 14 touchdowns. The Seahawks added Matt Flynn (QB) from Green Bay, and there will be some competition for the starting position.  Marshawn Lynch (RB) will start in the backfield again in 2012.  Lynch had 1,204 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns last season. The Seahawks' defense was solid in 2011. Brandon Browner (CB) led the secondary with 54 tackles and 6 interceptions.  The team also picked up two linebackers in the first two rounds of the NFL draft. Bruce Irvin (LB), the 15th overall pick in the draft, had 38 tackles for West Virginia in 2011. Bobby Wagner (LB, Utah State) was taken in the second round. The Seahawks will hope these young linebackers can help the defense this season. The Seattle Seahawks should be able to win some games in 2012. If the offense starts clicking, then the Seahawks will surprise teams this year.
