Purdue finished the season in sixth place in the Big Ten, with a 10-8 conference record. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included pre-conference wins over Temple and Miami (FL), and conference victories against Iowa (twice), Nebraska (twice), Illinois and perhaps their best win of the season, a 75-61 conquest of then #13 Michigan. Among the key returning players for the Boilermakers are 6-5 senior D.J. Byrd, 6-2 junior Terone Johnson, 6-8 sophomore Jacob Lawson, 6-9 junior Travis Carroll and 6-9 junior Sandi Marcius. Purdue has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 5-10 Ronnie Johnson, 6-9 Jay Simpson, 6-5 Rapheal Davis and 7-0 A.J. Hammons. 2011 Purdue Football Team

The Purdue Boilermakers of the Big Ten finished the 2011 season with a 7-6 record, capped off with a 37-32 win over Western Michigan in the Little Caesars Bowl. Purdue finished the season in third place in the Big Ten's Leaders Division, with a 4-4 conference record. Highlights of the 2011 campaign included a 21-14 victory over then #23 Illinois, and a thrilling 26-23 overtime conquest of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Among the key returning players for the Boilermakers are quarterbacks Caleb TerBush, Robert Marve and Rob Henry, running backs Ralph Bolden and Akeem Shavers, wide receiver Antavian Edison, kick returner Raheem Mostert, cornerback Ricardo Allen and linebacker Will Lucas.
Purdue has several quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including offensive tackle Jordan Roos (Texas), offensive tackle Cameron Cermin (Texas), offensive guard Ryan Watson (Maryland) and tight end Jonathan Curry (Alabama).
