Mississippi gave up twice as many points as they scored. The Rebels won only one game versus Division One competition to finish 2-10 overall and 0-8 in the SEC. The offense had problems the whole 2011 season. They failed to score 14 points eight times last season. The good news is 14 starters return 7 on both offense and defense. JUCO quarterback Bo Wallace is expected to be the starter and Freeze has been a winner at every level he has coached at. This is going to be a long season and a long rebuilding job for Freeze. Mississippi is destined for another losing season and a last place finish in the SEC West. |

Ole Miss Football Team For 2011
The Ole Miss Rebels of the SEC finished the 2011 season with a 2-10 record, completing the year with a tough loss to Mississippi State. Ole Miss ended the season in last place in the SEC's West Division, posting an 0-8 record in the conference. Highlights of the 2011 campaign included wins over Southern Illinois and Fresno State, as well as very competitive performances against Brigham Young and then #9 Arkansas.
Among the key returning players for the Rebels are running back Jeff Scott, wide receiver Donte Moncrief, wide receiver Nickolas Brassell, linebacker Mike Marry, linebacker D.T. Shackelford, safety Charles Sawyer and punter Tyler Campbell.
Ole Miss has several quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including defensive tackle Issac Gross (Mississippi), defensive end Channing Ward (Mississippi), safety Trae Elston (Alabama), running back Kenno Loyal (Georgia) and running back I'tavius Mathers (Tennessee).
The 2012 Ole Miss schedule features a number of great matchups, among them are a non-conference duel with Texas, a September 29 date with Alabama, and a difficult late-season stretch against the likes of Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia and LSU. Come on out and enjoy an afternoon or evening of college football at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in University, Mississippi. Get your tickets today!
