Ohio State finished the season in second place in the Big Ten, with a 13-5 conference record. The Buckeyes got off to a solid 11-2 start to the season, which included wins against Marquette, Washington and Long Beach State. Other key wins for the Buckeyes were those over then #2 Michigan, then #4 Michigan State and then #2 Indiana. Among the key returning players for the Buckeyes are 6-1 junior Shannon Scott, 6-2 senior Aaron Craft, 6-8 junior LaQuinton Ross, 6-7 junior Sam Thompson, 6-11 junior Amir Williams, 6-3 junior Andrew Goldstein and 6-4 senior Lenzelle Smith, Jr. Ohio State has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 6-3 shooting guard Kameron Williams from Maryland and 6-8 small forward Marc Loving from the state of Ohio. The Ohio State Buckeyes of the Big Ten finished the 2011-12 season with a stellar 31-8 record, ending the year with a hard-fought 64-62 loss to Kansas in the NCAA Tournament Final Four. Ohio State finished the season in first place in the Big Ten, with a 13-5 conference record. The Buckeyes got off to a solid 13-1 start to the season, which included wins against then #8 Florida and then #4 Duke. Other key wins for the Buckeyes were those over then #8 Indiana, then #22 Michigan, then #20 Wisconsin, then #5 Michigan State, and another victory against then #13 Michigan on March 10.
Among the key returning players for the Buckeyes are 6-2 junior Aaron Craft, 6-7 junior Deshaun Thomas, 6-4 junior Lenzelle Smith, 6-1 sophomore Shannon Scott, 6-11 sophomore Amir Williams, 6-8 senior Evan Ravenel, 6-6 junior J.D. Weatherspoon, 6-7 sophomore Sam Thompson and 6-4 junior Jordan Sibert.
Ohio State has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 6-9 Tony Parker and 6-8 Amile Jefferson.
