2012 New York Jets

After a circus of a season in 2011, and an equally entertaining offseason, the New York Jets hope to redeem themselves in 2012. Coach Rex Ryan will try to lead the team back to the playoffs.  The offense was stagnant in 2011.  Mark Sanchez (QB) completed just 56 percent of his passes, and the team ranked 21st in passing yardage.  In a highly criticized move, the team added Tim Tebow (QB) from the Broncos.  Tebow led the Broncos to a playoff win, but his accuracy is questionable, and how the Jets plan to use Tebow is still a major issue.  Dustin Kellar (TE) will be the top target again in 2012, after having a team high reception total of 65.  Shonn Greene (RB) will start in the backfield again this season.The Jets' defense looks to improve after a mediocre 2011 season.  The team was still ranked 5th in passing yards and 13th in rushing yards, but they know that they are capable of much more. Antonio Cromartie (CB) should help the team more this season as he becomes more comfortable with his teammates.  With Darrelle Revis (CB) covering the other side of the field, the two should create a tough matchup for opposing quarterbacks. Both  Cromartie and Revis had 4 interceptions each last season.  If the defensive line can stop the run a little better in 2012, then the Jets' defense will be a dominant force. Overall, the Jets should be exciting to watch in 2012.  If their offense can produce more points this season, then the Jets will be fighting for a playoff spot.
