Mississippi State finished the season in sixth place in the SEC, with an 8-8 conference record. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included wins against then #18 Texas A&M, then #16 Arizona, and other quality victories over West Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Vanderbilt and South Carolina.Among the key returning players for the Bulldogs are 6-8 sophomore Rodney Hood, 6-3 junior Jalen Steele and 6-9 senior Wendell Lewis. Mississippi State has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 6-3 Craig Sword, 6-8 Gavin Ware, 5-10 P.J. Hardwick, 6-1 Josh Gray and 6-5 Fred Thomas.
