Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins is a theatrical musical from Walt Disney based on the same titled children's book series by P. L. Travers and the Disney film shown in 1964. When Mary Poppins was rolled out by West End in December 2004 it immediately garnered milestones by virtue of getting two much-sought after Olivier Awards. One year later Mary Poppins received more accolades as Laura Michelle Kelly who plays the lead role Mary copped the sought after 2005 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Then Mary Poppins, with an almost intact team from the West End version, made it's Broadway production debut in November of 2006 and with even more praise as it achieved seven Tony Award nominations, (counting the Best Musical) and took home the Best Scenic Design. The musical brings forward some featured songs from the film's music version such as "Practically Perfect," "Spoonful of Sugar," "Jolly Holiday", "Chim Chim a Ree," "Step in Time", "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" and "Let's Go Fly a Kite". The musical is actually an amalgam of different elements from the film and the books and it is consisted of two acts. It is also brings in a compelling story line, fresh and amazing dance numbers and enthralling stage props. It is a blockbuster Broadway show that anyone will surely want to see. The scenes were not only mystical but it is even filled with an immense sense of humor. Mary Poppins breathtaking and magical scenes are being shown in many cities and worldwide including Bristol, London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Cardiff (United Kingdom), Hague (the Netherlands), Göteborg (Sweden), Sydney and Brisbane (Australia), Helsinki (Finland), Brno (Czech Republic), Tallinn (Estonia), Budapest (Hungary), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Chicago and New York (the United States).
