Louisiana Tech finished fifth in the WAC last season, with a 6-8 conference record. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included victories over Arkansas-Little Rock, Northeastern, Hawaii (twice), Fresno State (twice), San Jose State (twice) and Nevada.Among the key returning players for the Bulldogs are 6-2 sophomore Raheem Appleby, 6-9 sophomore Michale Kyser, 6-3 sophomore Kenneth Smith and 6-5 senior Brandon Gibson. Louisiana Tech has a quality recruit joining the team this coming season in 6-4 Alex Hamilton, a guard from Chipley, Florida.
