Kentucky took first place in the SEC, with a perfect 16-0 conference record. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included quality wins against then #11 Kansas, then #5 North Carolina, then #4 Louisville, then #7 Florida (February 7), then #13 Florida (March 4), then #19 Florida (March 10), and their second win over Kansas to secure the NCAA Title.Among the key returning players for the Wildcats are 6-9 Kyle Wiltjer, 5-11 junior Ryan Harrow (transfer) and 6-7 senior Jon Hood (transfer). Kentucky has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 6-6 Shabazz Muhammad, 6-7 Anthony Bennett, 6-4 Archie Goodwin, 6-8 Alex Poythress, 6-9 Tony Parker, 6-8 Amile Jefferson and 7-0 Willie Cauley.
