The Wildcats scored 17 points or fewer ten times. Kentucky finished next to last in the SEC in passing and rushing and finished dead last in total offense. The defense was not much better finishing next to last in total defense in SEC play. Coach Joker Phillips has a tough rebuilding job ahead of him. The bright spot on the offense is guard Larry Warford he is making some All-SEC lists. Quarterbacks Morgan Newton and Maxwell Smith return. The leading rusher CoShik Williams gained 481 yards. Wide receiver La'Rod King had 40 catches and 7 touchdown receptions. Well where do you start. The offense was bad and Kentucky has to replace 3 starters on the offensive line. The defense was just as bad and the Wildcats have to replace 6 starters. There is not much hope for Kentucky in 2012. It was a miracle that they finished 5-7. The SEC East will be stronger this season and the opportunities for the Wildcats to win some games will be few. Coach Joker Phillips is on the hot seat and might not survive. |
