Kansas State took fifth place in the Big 12, with a 10-8 conference record. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included an 11-1 start to the season, and wins over then #21 Alabama, then #6 Missouri, then #10 Baylor, and another upset victory over Missouri (then ranked #3).Among the key returning players for the Wildcats are 6-4 senior Rodney McGruder, 7-0 senior Jordan Henriquez, 6-3 junior Will Spradling, 6-7 sophomore Thomas Gipson, 5-11 sophomore Angel Rodriguez, 6-1 senior Martavious Irving, 6-6 junior Shane Southwell, 7-0 sophomore Adrian Diaz and 6-2 senior Jeremy Jones. Kansas State has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 6-10 Laimonas Chatkevicius, 6-3 Michael Orris and 6-8 Darrell Johnson.
