2012 Kansas Jayhawks Football

The Kansas Jayhawks of the Big 12 finished the 2011 season with a 2-10 record, closing out with a loss against Missouri on November 26. Kansas finished last in the Big 12, with an 0-9 conference record. Highlights of the 2011 campaign included wins over McNeese State and Northern Illinois, and a narrow 31-30 loss to heavily-favored Baylor.
Among the key returning players for the Jayhawks are running back James Sims, running back Tony Pierson, wide receiver/kick returner D.J. Beshears, wide receiver Kale Pick, kicker/punter Ron Doherty, safety Bradley McDougald and linebacker Darius Willis.
Kansas has several quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including linebacker Schyler Miles (Florida), tight end Jordan Smith (Texas), defensive end Neal Page (Michigan), offensive guard Brian Beckmann (Kansas) and safety Greg Allen (Texas).
