The Irish Tenors is a musical group comprised of three tenors: Anthony Kearns, Finbar Wright, and Karl Scully. Karl Scully replaced Ronan Tynan to become the group's newest member. They have seven recordings, and have reached the tops of the Billboard world music charts. The Irish Tenors are the leading Irish group touring success, second only to U2. The Irish Tenors are also known for their many PBS television specials. In 1999, The Irish Tenors performed, Live From Belfast at Waterfront Hall, which was recorded and broadcast on PBS in the United States. John McDermott, one of the original Irish Tenors, made a guest appearance at this concert. Another such special was The Irish Tenors Ellis Island, recorded for PBS and named to Billboard's top 10 "Best of" for 2001. In 2005, Kearns, Scully, and Wright filmed a ten-part series for Ireland's RTE Network entitled The Irish Tenors & Friends.
