2012 Houston Texans

The Houston Texans had a great season in 2011, finishing first in the AFC South and advancing to the playoffs. The Texans will look to make it further in the playoffs in 2012 if they can stay healthy. Matt Schaub (QB) will lead the offense again in 2012, but he was hampered with injuries last season.  Schaub played just 10 games in 2011, and the Texans will need him healthy if they want to keep winning.  Arian Foster (RB) returns to the starting spot in the backfield.  Foster was hurt last year also, but he managed to rush for 1,224 yards in 13 games.  The Texans lacked firepower with their wide receivers one year ago, as Andre Johnson was injured a lot and only caught 33 passes.  The team got DeVier Posey (WR) with their second pick in the draft. Posey (Ohio State) was suspended for almost the entire 2011 season, but he has some explosiveness that could help the Texans win games.  The Texans' defense played exceptionally well in 2011, ranking 3rd in passing yards against and 4th in rushing yards against.  Johnathan Joseph (CB) and Brian Cushing (LB) will lead the defense in 2012.  In 2011, Joseph had 4 interceptions and Cushing had 114 tackles.  The Houston Texans' main concern will be staying healthy.  They played very well last season, and they did not even have their starting quarterback down the stretch.  If the offense stays free from injury, then the Texans will have an exciting season.
