They hope that they can rebuild their team and improve this offseason. Rookie Greg Monroe (C) led the team in scoring this season, averaging 15.4 points per game. Monroe was solid in the paint for the Pistons this season, and he will continue to play well in the future. In his first year out of Georgetown, Monroe also led the team in rebounds, with 9.7 per game, and steals, with 1.3 per game. He should keep improving in the offseason and has the potential to be one of the top centers in the NBA. Monroe had a veteran in Ben Wallace (C) that he could learn from this season. Wallace led the team in blocks in his 15th season in the NBA, and he will help teach his young counterpart how to improve his defense. Rodney Stuckey (PG) is another young player that the Pistons rely on. Stuckey averaged 14.8 points per game, second highest on the team. He also led the team in assists this season. Ben Gordon (SG) struggled this season, averaging only 12.5 points per game, but if he can get on pace next season, then Stuckey will have another weapon to rely on and he will get even more assists. The Pistons have a great young player in Greg Monroe. He was excellent this season, and if he keeps improving, then the Pistons will be exciting to watch for years to come. |
