Kyrie Irving (PG) played excellent for the Cavs this year. In his rookie year out of Duke, Irving led the team in scoring with 18.5 points per game. He also averaged 5.4 assists per game. The 20-year-old proved that he can play in the NBA, and he will improve even more by next season. Anderson Varejao (PF) and Antawn Jamison (PF) provided some veteran leadership for the team this year. Varejao led the team in rebounds with 11.5 per game, and Jamison averaged 17.2 points per game. Tristan Thompson (F) is another rookie that has a lot of potential. The Cavs picked up Thompson from the University of Texas, and he led the team in blocks, averaging 1 per game. Thompson could be an excellent post player in the future, and the Cavs will need him to improve this offseason. The Cleveland Cavaliers have a lot of young talent on their team. If their young players continue to develop, then the Cavaliers will be fun to watch next season. |
