Cleveland rookie LB Andra Davis intercepted Steelers' QB Tommy Maddox on Pittsburgh's first possession, but Browns K Phil Dawson missed a 45-yard field goal attempt. Pittsburgh answered with an 11-play, 52-yard drive, capped by a 31-yard field goal by K Todd Peterson. Peterson's first attempt at the game-winner on third down was blocked by the Browns but recovered by Pittsburgh behind the line of scrimmage to set up another fourth down kick.
