2013 Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns went 4-12 last season, good enough for last place in the AFC North.  The Browns have some young talent that they hope can help them win some games in 2012.  The offense struggled last season, ranking 24th in passing yards and 28th in rushing yards. In fact, the Browns had the 3rd fewest points scored in 2011.  Colt McCoy (QB) threw 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.  But the team drafted Brandon Weedon (QB) with their second pick in the first-round of the draft, so there will be some competition at that position. The team's leading rusher, Peyton Hillis, is now with the Chiefs, and the Browns will rely heavily on the rookie Trent Richardson (RB). The third overall pick in the draft ran for 1,679 yards and 21 touchdowns for Alabama in 2011. The Browns gave up a ton of yardage on the defensive side of the ball last season. While they were technically ranked 2nd in passing yardage allowed, this is because their opponents were usually winning early and could simply run the ball against the Browns 30th ranked run defense.  The Browns picked up five defensive players in the draft, including John Hughes (DT, Cincinnati) in the third-round and James-Michael Johnson (LB, Nevada) in the fourth round. The Cleveland Browns will rely heavily on rookie players this season, and they definitely have some young talent.  If the rookies adapt quickly to the NFL, then the Cleveland Browns will have some success this year.
