Cincinnati finished the season in fifth place in the Big East, with a 12-6 conference record. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included wins over then #22 Pittsburgh, then #11 Georgetown, then #11 Connecticut, then #17 Louisville, then #7 Marquette, a second victory over Georgetown (then ranked # 14) and their biggest win of the season, an upset of then #2 Syracuse.Among the key returning players for the Bearcats are 6-0 senior Cashmere Wright, 6-3 senior Jaquon Parker, 6-8 junior Justin Jackson, 6-10 sophomore Cheikh Mbodj, 6-3 sophomore Jeremiah Davis, 6-2 sophomore Ge'Lawn Guyn and 6-5 sophomore Jermaine Sanders. Cincinnati has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 6-7 Titus Rubles, 6-1 Kevin Johnson and 6-3 Troy Caupain.
