2012 Chicago Bulls Recap
The Chicago Bulls had the best record in the NBA this season at 50-16. They played exceptionally well, until Derrick Rose injured his knee. The Bulls will hope that Rose can stay healthy next season, and the team can win more in the playoffs. Derrick Rose (PG) led the Bulls in every way imaginable this season. He averaged 23 points, 9 assists, and 9 rebounds per game. In fact, Rose was one of the most dominant players in the NBA this season. But, when Rose injured his knee, the Bulls could not compete. If he can stay healthy in the playoffs next year, then the Bulls will be dominant. Carlos Boozer (PF) led the team in rebounds this season, averaging 9.8 per game. Boozer and teammate Joakim Noah (C) are excellent in the paint. Noah averaged 15 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game this year. Overall, the Chicago Bulls have the pieces to win games. They may even be able to win more than 50 games next season. However, the main piece will be Derrick Rose, and he needs to be healthy in the playoffs if the Bulls want to have a chance at a championship run.
The Chicago Bulls and the NBA
The Chicago Bulls are a National Basketball Association team which helped to spread basketball around the world when Michael Jordan exploded on the basketball scene in 1985. The Bulls have won six different championships, all in the 1990's, and is the team on which played the most famous and legendary basketball player of all time: Michael Jordan. All of their championships were won within an 8 year span, having won three championships in a row, twice. The Chicago Bulls is one of the most profitable franchises in the NBA, ranking third under the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. Beyond the aforementioned Michael Jordan, many other superstar players have played for the Bulls, including: Scottie Pippen, Bill Cartwright, B.J. Armstrong, and John Paxson. Since Michael Jordan retired, the Bulls have not had as much success. Although they are still a great team, they have not won a championship since the legend decided to hang up the towel and call it quits. This does not mean that they are a bad team, though! With the likes of Jimmy Butler and Rip Hamilton, the Bulls are still not a team to be taken likely. Despite having multiple injuries in key players during recent seasons, the Bulls are quickly making a comeback to be remembered for years to come.
