2012 Bruins

The Boston Bruins had a terrific season, finishing in second place in the Eastern Conference.  But, the team was defeated by the Washington Capitals in 7 games in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.  The Bruins hope that they can keep winning next season, and make a run in the playoffs.  The Boston Bruins had one of the top offenses this year, averaging 3.2 goals per game, which was 2nd overall in the NHL.  Tyler Seguin (C) led the team in goals with 29 goals this season.  The 20-year-old also had 38 assists on the year, and is one of the top young players in the NHL. The Bruins know how much talent this kid has, and they hope he will keep improving and be a star player for many years to come. Patrice Bergeron (C) led the team in assists this season with 42.  He will play a large part on this team again next season.  The Bruins also played excellent defense this season, ranking 6th overall in goals against per game with 2.4. Time Thomas (G) was a major reason for this, but there is rumor that the veteran goalie will not return next season. The Bruins have other goalies on the roster that will need to step up if the rumors are true. The Boston Bruins played well this season, but they fell short in the playoffs.  Look for them to be fighting for the Stanley Cup next season.
