The Dallas Mavericks had a solid season this year, before the Oklahoma City Thunder knocked them out in the first round of the playoffs. The Mavericks will hope that they can piece together a playoff run next season.
The Mavericks were led by a group of veteran players this season. Dirk Nowitzki (PF) is an excellent scorer and can seemingly knock down shots from anywhere on the floor. Nowitzki averaged 21.6 points per game to lead the team. Jason Terry (SG) also can score for the Mavs. He averaged 15.1 points per game. The Mavericks will need him to keep scoring for the team next season.
The Mavericks have three more solid veteran players in Jason Kidd (PG), Vince Carter (SG), and Shawn Marion (SF). Kidd led the team in assists, with 5.5 per game, and steals, with 1.7 per game. Carter was hot at times and had some excellent scoring games. Marion led the team in rebounds with 7.4 per game.
If this veteran team can stay healthy next season, then they should have success. Expect them to be fighting in the playoffs again next year.
