Army Black Knights
The United States Military Academy, located in West Point, New York is home to the Army Black Knights. The United States Military Academy belongs to the NCAA’s Division 1 level and has numerous intercollegiate sports programs. The USMA Black Knights belong to numerous conferences including the Patriot League, Atlantic Hockey, Great American Rifle Conference, Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference, Collegiate, Sprint Football League, and the Intercollegiate Wrestling Association. The men’s athletic programs include baseball, basketball, football, sprint football, golf, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse, rifle, soccer, tennis, wrestling, swimming, & diving, cross-country, and track & field. The women’s athletic programs include soccer, softball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, rifle, cross-country, track & field, and swimming & diving.
Fans, alumni, and athletes alike wear the United States Military Academy’s school colors of black, gold, and gray when in attendance at any of the schools sporting facilities. The facilities at West Point include Michie Stadium, Christl Arena, Johnson Stadium at Doubleday Field and Tate Rink. Although they are nicknamed the Black Knights, the mascot for the USMA is the mule. Chief rivals of the USMA are the Air Force and the Navy, all of who compete for the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy annually.
