The 15 intercollegiate sports teams for the University of Texas at San Antonio are referred to as the Roadrunners. The UTSA Roadrunners are participants in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division 1. The Roadrunners are currently competing in the Western Athletic Conference and will be moving to Conference USA in 2013. The sports women field athletic teams in are basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball. The sports men field athletic teams in are baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, tennis, and track & field.
The Roadrunners compete at a number of local athletic facilities including the Convocation Center, Roadrunner Field, Wolff Stadium, and the Alamodome and the At&T Center is close by. The official mascot of the University of Texas at San Antonio is Rowdy the Roadrunner. UTSA Roadrunner pride is displayed in wearing orange and blue, the official school colors.
A key match up this season in another division will be Arizona State vs. Northern Arizona which is always a fun interstate rivalry.
