The Aggies are NCAA Division 1 members and represent Utah State University in the Western Athletic Conference. In 2013, they will move from the WAC to the Mountain West Conference. The sports that men field teams in are basketball, cross-country, football, golf, tennis, and track & field. The sports that women field teams in are basketball, cross-country, gymnastics, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.
The official mascot for the Aggies is now a costumed Big Blue. Originally, Big Blue was a white bull that was painted blue prior to sporting events. The official colors for Utah State are Aggie blue, fighting white and pewter grey. Aggies athletic events take place at home facilities that include Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, LaRee and LeGrand Johnson Field, Chuck & Gloria Bell Soccer Field, and Romney Stadium.
