The Arizona Cardinals finished the 2011 season with a record of 8-8, which was good enough for second place in the NFC West. The Cardinals hope that they can improve this season and fight at the top of the division.
Kevin Kolb (QB) will need to stay healthy this season. Kolb had only 11 passing touchdowns in 2011, and the Cardinals will need production from him if they are going to be competitive. His top target will be Larry Fitzgerald (WR). Fitzgerald had 80 receptions for 1,411 yards and 8 touchdowns last season. Beanie Wells (RB) has the potential to be a great runner if he can stay free from injury. Wells had 1,047 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2011.

The Cardinals’ defense struggled last season, ranking 17th in pass defense and 21st in run defense. Daryl Washington (LB) led the team with 107 tackles and 2 interceptions last year. He will lead the team again this season. The Cardinals also picked up Jamell Fleming (CB) in the second round of the NFL draft. Fleming had 54 tackles and 2 forced fumbles for Oklahoma in 2011, and the Cardinals will need him to help the defense this season.
Overall, the Cardinals have the potential to be a solid team. If they can stay healthy, then they will win games in 2012.
