Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies had a successful season this year, finishing with a record of 41-25 and advancing to the playoffs. The Grizzlies hope that they can improve and be even better for next years NBA season.
Rudy Gay (SF) led the team in points this season, averaging 19 per game. The Grizzlies expect for him to be even better next season. Marc Gasol (C) also had a great season, averaging 14.6 points per game, and leading the team in rebounds (8.9 per game) and blocks (1.9 per game). Gasol has improved a ton over the past few years. The 7’1” center will need to help lead this team next season.
Mike Conley (PG) and O.J. Mayo (SG) are two young players that have a lot of potential. Conley led the team in assists, with 6.5 per game, and steals, with 2.2 per game. Mayo played well also, averaging 12.6 points per game. If these two keep improving, then the Grizzlies will win even more games in the future. Key games in the Southwest Division include the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets.
The Memphis Grizzlies played well all season, and they even played well in the playoffs. Look for this young team to keep having success and be back in the playoffs next season.
Memphis Grizzlies and Season Recap
Los Angeles Lakers Tickets and Team Recap
Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers played very well this season, and finished with the third best record in the Western Conference. The Lakers are going to make many changes this offseason, but they hope to make another playoff run next season.
Kobe Bryant (SG) had a great year again this season, averaging 27.9 points per game during the regular season. He also led the team in steals with 1.2 per game. Kobe is getting older, but he is one of the best shooters in the NBA. The Lakers will need him healthy next season if they want to be successful. Bryant averaged 30 points per game in the playoffs.
Andrew Bynum (C) also played great this season. He has been injured often in his young career, but the Lakers’ center averaged 11.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. If Bynum returns and is healthy, then he can be a big player for the Lakers next season, especially if the rumors about trading Pau Gasol (PF) are true. Look for great games this season with the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers.
The Los Angeles Lakers may have a lot of changes this offseason, but they should still have a solid year next season. With Kobe Bryant leading the team, anything is possible.
Oklahoma City Thunder Tickets and Team Recap
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the most exciting teams in the NBA. They know how to score, and they hope that they can make a run at the championship.
The Thunder ranked third in the NBA in points, averaging 103.1 points per game. One of the major reasons they score so many points in Kevin Durant (SF). Durant averaged 28 points and 8 rebounds per game to lead the team. With his 6’9” frame, Durant is extremely difficult to guard. His speed and athleticism make it difficult for defenses to match up, and he will be a great scorer for many years to come.
Russell Westbrook (PG) complements Durant extremely well. Both of these players are only 23 years old, and they will have an exciting future together. Westbrook led the team with 5.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He also averaged 23.6 points per game. James Harden (G) is also a solid young guard but was traded to the Houston Rockets. Harden is a year younger than Westbrook and Durant, but he is a well-rounded player that averaged 16.8 points per game this season.
The Thunder have some excellent young talent, and it is amazing that they are so successful at such young ages. Expect the Thunder to keep winning next season.
San Antonio Spurs Tickets and Team Recap
San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs had the best record in the NBA at 50-16. This veteran team plays well together, and they hope that they can piece together another championship run.
The Spurs had an excellent offense this season, ranking second in the league in points per game with 103.7. Their unselfish play allowed them to spread the ball around and score in many different ways. Tony Parker (PG) led the team in scoring this season, averaging 18.3 points per game. He also is a great leader and passer, and led the team with 7.7 assists per game. Tim Duncan (C) has played well all season also. Duncan averaged 15.4 points per game and is one of the most dominant big men in the NBA.
Manu Ginobili (SG) is another star on the Spurs team. Ginobili averaged 12.9 points per game this season. Ginobili is always a dangerous threat to score, and the Spurs will need production from him in the playoffs. With a 52.6% field goal percentage, it is obvious he knows how to put the ball in the hoop.
If you are not a fan, the San Antonio Spurs may not be the most exciting team to watch in the NBA, but they just keep winning. Their teamwork and attitude make them one of the best teams in the league. The team has key match up with the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Hornets. SMU Mustangs Looking for another Hot Start
SMU got off to a hot start in 2011 at one time the Mustangs were 5-1 but they struggled the rest of the way and finished 8-5. Turnovers were a problem for the SMU offense as the Mustangs finished with a -16 turnover margin. JJ McDermott threw for 3,421 yards but tossed 16 interceptions. Running back Zach Line rushed for 1,224 yards and 17 touchdowns. Darius Johnson caught 79 passes for 8 touchdowns. The defense was very good and finished in the top 30 in the NCAA.
Dallas transfer Garrett Gilbert will be the new quarterback in Coach June Jones wide open offense. Only 3 starters return on the offense and the entire offensive line must be rebuilt. Despite this Gilbert, Line, and Johnson are a good foundation to start from. 7 starters return on defense and they will have to carry the load early while the offense comes together. How fast the offense comes together will determine the 2012 season. 8 wins for SMU in 2012. SMU basketball begins in 2013 with some great match ups. Here are some games:

Tulsa Golden Hurricane Tickets for 2013
Tulsa was in the race for the Conference USA West division title until the last week of the regular season. The Golden Hurricane finished 8-5 but played a very tough schedule losing to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Boise State, Houston, and BYU. Quarterback GJ Kinnie passed for 3,090 yards and 28 touchdowns. Tulsa had a one two punch at running back. Ja’Terian Douglas gained 883 yards and Trey Watts gained 881. Wide receivers Willie Carter and Bryan Burnham combined for 115 catches and 16 touchdowns. The defense gave up 27 points a game and had problems stopping pass as they gave up 286 yards per contest.
The Golden Hurricane has 6 starters returning on offense including the top two rushers and receivers. Nebraska transfer Cody Green will take over for the departed GJ Kinnie at quarterback. The offensive line lost three starters. Tulsa‘s offense will be potent in 2012 and if the defense can improve against the pass the Golden Hurricane will be in the mix for the C-USA West title. 8 wins for Tulsa in 2012. Basketball and Football Return to Houston University
A 49-28 loss to Southern Mississippi in the Conference USA title game kept the Cougars from a potential undefeated season Houston finished 13-1. Case Keenum had an outstanding season at quarterback he threw for 5,631 yards and 48 touchdowns. The Houston offense was the top rated unit in the nation they averaged 49 points a game. Charles Sims rushed for 821 yards averaging 7.5 yards a carry. Wide receiver Patrick Edwards caught 89 passes for 1,752 yards and 20 touchdowns. The defense was opportunistic as they had a +16 turnover margin.
Coach Kevin Sumlin has moved on to Texas A&M and Tony Levine is the new coach. There is a big rebuilding job ahead of Levine in 2012. Case Keenum is gone along with five of the top six receivers. Charles Sims returns and he is the leading returning rusher and pass catcher. 7 starters return on defense. A plus for the offense is only one starter is gone from the offensive line. David Piland will be the new quarterback he has staring experience from the 2010 season. Houston still has enough talent to win Conference USA 9 wins for the Cougars in 2012. Memphis Tigers Basketball and Football Ticketing Options
Justin Fuente is the new coach at Memphis and faces a massive rebuilding job. The Tigers finished 2-10 in 2011. The defense gave up 35 points and 491 yards a game. The run defense surrendered 191 yards a game. The offense was not much better as Memphis was held to single digits scored on five occasions. This is a bad situation and the Tiger program can only go up.
Memphis returns only 8 starters 4 each on offense and defense. The offense lost their top rusher and the top three passers from 2011. What can you say Memphis is going to be bad again in 2012. If Fuente can get more than three victories out of this team he should be named coach of the year in Conference USA. Basketball returns to the Memphis campus and you can buy tickets here.

UAB Blazers Basketball and Football Tickets
New coach Garrick McGee inherits a team that finished 3-9 in 2011. The Blazers lost eight of their first nine games last season. The defense was bad as UAB gave up 36 points a game also they gave up 35 or more points seven times. Quarterback Jonathan Perry completed 58 percent of his passes for 10 touchdowns. Greg Franklin was the leading rusher for UAB he gained 430 yards. Wide receiver Jackie Williams had 58 catches but did not score a touchdown in 2011.
Garrick McGee comes from the offensive staff at Arkansas and will have a decent offense in time. Georgia transfer Dontavius Jackson will help at running back. 6 starters return on offense including quarterback Jonathan Perry. The defense only returns 4 starters and gave up over 200 yards rushing a game in 2011. This is going to be a long season for UAB. They will match last season’s win total of three in 2012. East Carolina Pirates Football and Basketball Seating
East Carolina finished 5-7 in 2011 their second straight losing season. Turnovers were a problem last season the Pirates finished with a -14 margin which was near the bottom in the nation. Quarterback Dominique Davis had 3,225 yards passing and 25 touchdown passes. East Carolina’s running game was below average as they could only muster 3.3 yards a carry. Wide receiver Justin Hardy had 64 catches and 6 touchdowns. The defense gave up 30 points or more seven times in 2011.
The Pirate program is sliding backwards and coach Ruffin McNeill could start to feel the heat. The good news is 13 starters return 6 on offense and 7 on defense. Davis has to be replaced at the quarterback position. Improvement on defense will determine how much East Carolina improves. The offensive line only loses one starter so the running game should be better. Five wins for East Carolina and with a few breaks a bowl game is possible. Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles College Basketball and Football
The Golden Eagles had a banner season in 2011. They won 12 games, beat undefeated Houston in the Conference USA Championship game and beat Nevada in the Hawaii Bowl. Quarterback Austin Davis threw for 3,496 yards and 30 touchdowns. Southern Mississippi used a running back by committee as four backs had over 400 yards and averaged over 5 yards a carry. The Golden Eagle defense was good versus the run only giving up 118 yards a game.
Southern Mississippi will have to replace Davis at quarterback but return the top four rushers from 2011. The top two receivers graduated but a solid core returns. Most of the front seven have to be replaced and only four starters return overall on the defense. New coach Ellis Johnson will be inheriting a solid team. If the defense can be retooled another run at the C-USA title is possible. 8 wins for Southern Miss. The 2013 basketball schedule is now available here, purchase your tickets today.

Central Florida Knights Football and Basketball
Close but no cigar was the story of Central Florida in 2011. The Knights finished 5-7 and six of those losses were by 7 points or less. The running back tandem of Latavius Murray and Brynn Harvey were solid as they combined for 1,123 yards and 11 touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Blake Bortles completed 68 percent of his passes for 6 touchdowns. The Central Florida defense was solid all season as they gave up 18 points and 303 yards a game. Both were ninth in the nation.
Only 3 starters return on offense both the Knights offense will be boosted by two transfers. Quarterback Tyler Gabbert transfers in from Missouri and running back Storm Johnson comes from Miami of Florida. The offensive line has to rebuilt as only two starters return. The top three receivers return. Defensively 6 starters return from the top defense in Conference USA last season. If the Knights can rebuild the offensive line the offense should be potent and the defense returns enough talent to have a solid unit. Central Florida will be rebound from last season’s losing season and win 9 games and be in the C-USA title game. The 2013 UCF Knights basketball schedule is also available online.

Marshall Thundering Herd Football and Basketball Tickets
Marshall finished the 2012 football season strong winning four of their last five games to finish 7-6. Sophomore quarterback Rakeem Cato completed 60 percent of his passes for 15 touchdowns as a true freshman. The running game had problems last season the Thundering Herd only averaged 3.5 yards a carry. Wide receiver Aaron Dobson had 49 receptions and 12 touchdowns. Marshall gave up 28 points a game and had trouble stopping the pass as they surrendered 255 yards per contest.
The Thundering Herd finished strong and young quarterback Cato is only going to get better and his top receivers return. Success in the 2012 season depends on the improvement of the defense that returns 5 starters and the running game. If Marshall can do this they could be in the thick of the C-USA East race. 8 wins for Marshall in 2012. For basketball fans we have Marshall hoops tickets as well. New York Rangers Back to Playing Hockey – Buy Tickets Here
The New York Rangers had an excellent season, finishing with the top record in the Eastern Conference. However, the Rangers were defeated by the New Jersey Devils in the Eastern Conference Finals. They hope that they can continue winning next season, and have a chance to play for the Stanley Cup.
The New York Rangers had the best defense in the NHL this season, allowing only 187 goals against. Henrik Lundqvist (G) was exceptional in goal, with a save percentage of .930 and averaging only 1.97 goals against. Lundqvist is one of the best in the game, and he will need to play well next season if the Rangers want a chance at the Stanley Cup. Marian Gaborik (RW) was one of the top offensive weapons for the Rangers, and he led the team with 41 goals this season. Brad Richards (C) also had a great season, leading the team with 41 assists.
Overall, The New York Rangers have a ton of talent, but they fell short in the playoffs. Look for them to make another run in the playoffs next year.

Target Field was the first facility specifically built for the franchise since it moved to the Twin Cities. The ballpark also replaced their home of 28 years, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. The move into Target Field also marked the first time, since 1936, that the formerly named Washington Senators did not share a stadium with an NFL team.
With a seating capacity of 39,504, Target Fields attendance record of 42,524 was not set when fans observed a Minnesota Twins baseball game. The event that drew the record attendance was in July of 2012 during the Brothers of the Sun tour featuring Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw. Oriole Park at Camden Yards Still Packs The Baltimore Faithful In
20 years ago, in 1992, Oriole Park at Camden Yards opened and became the new home to the Baltimore Orioles. It was the replacement to the Oriole’s previous stadium, Memorial Park. Designed to have an old-fashioned feel, yet state-of-the-art simultaneously, Oriole Park became the first of the “retro” inspired major league ballpark. With a seating capacity of 45,971 on August 19, 2008, Oriole Park hosted its 50 millionth fan making it the fastest park to achieve such a milestone.
Despite only celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2012, Oriole Park has been home to numerous notable events. Some of these key events include Cal Ripken Jr. breaking Ernie Banks record when he hit his 278th career home run on July 15, 1993. On Sept. 6, 1995, Ripken broke another record when he played in his 2,131st consecutive game, basing Lou Gehrig’s record of 2,130. Other memorable events at Oriole Park include the highest scoring game in 110 years, featuring the Texas Rangers defeating the Orioles 30 – 3. On May 31, 2008, Manny Ramirez hit his 500th home run at Oriole Park. The teams play in the AL EAST with the:
Boston Red Sox
New York Yankees
Tampa Bay Devil Rays
Toronto Blue Jays
Aside from the notable baseball events that have taken place at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the stadium has also seen other uses. Like other Major League ballparks, Oriole Park has been used to film scenes for the movie Dave in 1993 and Major League II, in 1994. In its short history, Oriole Park at Camden Yards has not only been a venue filled with notable moments but its design has served as a standard all new ballparks are measured. Fenway Park – Built in 1912 – See the Red Sox Live
Since its construction in 1912, Fenway Park has been home to the Boston Red Sox baseball team. Three fires in 1926, resulted in a void in the lef-field when the wooden bleachers burned down. Years later, under new ownership massive reconstruction was done to the park. The most famous aspect to the park’s renovation design is the left field wall, otherwise known as the “Green Monster.” The “Green Monster” stands 37 feet tall and 240 feet long. The bottom of the wall also features a rare manual scoreboard. Seating capacity for the stadium is 36,298 one of the lowest capacities in baseball.
Fenway Park has seen many changes and has been host to a variety of events over the past 100 years since it first opened. In 1947, the installation of light towers allowed for night baseball, sky view seats were installed the previous year. Aside from the numerous renovations, that the park has seen throughout the years it has also been host to a variety of events. FDR gave a speech during the 1940 presidential race. Movies such as Fever Pitch have filmed scenes there. Fenway Park also hosted football and amateur baseball games.
The Red Sox play the in the AL EAST with the
Baltimore Orioles
New York Yankees
Tampa Bay Devil Rays
Toronto Blue Jays
After 86 years of not winning a championship, known as “The Curse of the Bambino,” Fenway Park was once again home to champions in 2004. In a four game sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals, the Red Sox returned home to Fenway Park with only their sixth championship in the franchise’s history. The 2004 championship finally broke the curse that has haunted Fenway Park and the Red Sox since 1918. Here is the early part of 2013 at Fenway in Boston:

New Yankee Stadium Information
The New York Yankees have called Yankee Stadium their home since April 18, 1923. Also known as the “House That Ruth Built,” Yankee stadium was the first baseball parks referred to as a stadium as well as being the first three tiered park in the nation. Over the years, the aging ballpark saw many renovations and modernizations including the almost complete demolition and renovation of the park following its 50th-Anniversary season in 1973.
Throughout its history, Yankee stadium was home to much more than just a winning baseball team and the Yankees Red Sox rivalry. The Yankees ballpark was almost home to 37 World Series, concerts featuring the likes of Billy Joel, U2, and the Rolling Stones. The ballpark also hosted boxing championship fights with boxing legends such as Benny Leonard, Muhammad Ali, and Jo Louis. Yankee stadium was host to key football matches in both college and the NFL. Additionally, Yankee stadium would also be host to religious conventions and can boast that both Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul III held mass at the historic stadium.
The New York Yankees called this ballpark their home until they played their final game on Sept. 21, 2008. In 2009, the Yankees would find their new home in the new $1.3 billion dollar Yankee stadium located in the Bronx. Here is the early 2013 schedule for the park:

Busch Stadium – St. Louis Cardinals
After over 50 years at different stadiums, the St. Louis Cardinals moved into their newest home, Busch Stadium in April of 2006. The new Busch Stadium is located in downtown St. Louis, Missouri and has a seating capacity of 46,000 Cardinals fans. The large open concourses of the stadium afford fans in attendance views of the Gateway Arch and the downtown St. Louis skyline.
Busch Stadium is a fan-friendly stadium, designed to allow fans the best views of the ball field even when getting items from the concession stands. Other features include multiple scoreboards, the main one located over the right-centerfield seating area. US Cellular Family Pavilion, the Coca-Cola Rooftop Deck and the Backstop Bar and other areas are available for gatherings and parties.
In the opening season, the St. Louis Cardinals won the 2006 World Series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Other notable events since the inaugural season include the hosting of the 80th annual Major League Baseball All-Star Game in July of 2009 and the 2011 World Series Championship. Busch Stadium has also hosted a number of concerts featuring such acts as the Dave Matthews Band, The Eagles, Black Crowes, and U2.
