Baylor finished third in the Big 12, with a 12-6 conference record. Highlights of the 2011-12 campaign included a 17-0 start to the season, and wins against then #14 Mississippi State, then #18 Kansas State, and a March 9 win over then #3 Kansas.Among the key returning players for the Bears are 6-2 junior Brady Heslip, 5-10 senior Pierre Jackson, 6-1 senior A.J. Walton, 6-9 junior Cory Jefferson, 6-4 sophomore Deuce Bello, 6-10 senior J'Mison Morgan (transfer) and 6-2 junior Gary Franklin. Baylor has some quality recruits joining the team this coming season, including 7-0 Isaiah Austin, 6-6 Ricardo Gathers, 6-2 Nino Jackson, 6-4 L.J. Rose and 6-11 Chad Rykhoek.
