Batman Live

The caped crusader is no longer just a comic book hero. Long gone are the days when only in comic books were people found dressing up in outfits, often comedic costumes and beating the crap out of equally outlandish criminals. These super heroes quickly moved into the mainstream over this last decade or so, and for good reason. It's darn entertaining!  Now, Batman has moved onto the stage in the relatively new show, "Batman Live."  Batman Live is the story of how Batman's faithful sidekick, Robin, made his way onto the team, and how they had to overcome some obstacles in order to become the great duo. When Dick Grayson's parents are gunned down by criminals, he is given into the care of Bruce Wayne (Batman). Over time, Bruce teaches Dick to channel his anger not into revenge, but into a thirst for justice. When the young boy is ready, Bruce eventually reveals his identity, and then the fun really begins. Batman has made quite a few enemies over the years, and in Batman Live, they are almost all out to get him at once! Joining together into the ultimate super crime ring led by the unrelentingly unpredictable Joker, Batman must defend not a city this time, but the ravaged mind and soul of a young boy who has suffered in the same way as he himself has. Always a classic in the theatre world,  Batman Live is a show for just about anyone. Although, perhaps, not classical enough for some die-hard fans of theatre.
