Barbara Streisand is a renowned American singer, actress, writer, film producer and director born in 1942. There was no one like her who was commercially the best entertainers in the history of United States. Her albums were not only popular in US, but also in different parts of the world. She was the top female artist on RIAA list. She had a grooming career with hundreds of award winning performances. She is the only US artist and singer who have won two academy awards, five Emmy awards, eight Grammy awards, and a special tony award.She was the only female artist from US who held the record of most top-ten recording albums. Her first album was "The Barbra Streisand", which was released in 1960. Her top albums that were releases in 1960s were "The second Barbra", "the third album" and "My name is Barbra". She was considered as US No. 1 with the top ten recordings, which were "The way we were", "Evergreen", "No more tears", "You don't bring me flowers" and the "Main event". According to RIAA, she had released 51 gold albums, most by any female singer or artist, thirty platinum albums and thirteen multi-platinum albums in US.She was awarded with the award of "Women in film crystal" for being the outstanding women in the history of US. She also received the medal of "National medal of arts" in 2000 for being the top artist and "Kennedy center honors" in 2008 for being the top entertainer. She had also won "Grammy legend award" for being the special talent in the field of film and music industry who has served this industry for many decades.
