2012 Baltimore Ravens

After winning the AFC North in the 2011 season, the Baltimore Ravens came up a few plays short and missed a chance to play in the Super Bowl.  The Ravens will be strong again in 2012, and the team will hope to make another playoff run. Led by Ray Rice (RB) and a good offensive line, the offense for the Ravens had a strong running attack.  Rice ran for 1,364 yards in 2011 and should be just as explosive in 2012.  Joe Flacco (QB) is a solid starting quarterback, and he has some great receivers in Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith. Boldin and Smith combined for 107 receptions and 1,728 yards in 2011.Defense has always been a strength for Baltimore. The team ranked 4th in passing yards and 2nd in rushing yards allowed.  Moreover, they gave up an average of only 16.6 points per game, 2nd best in the league.  With Ray Lewis (MLB) and company back again this season, the Ravens' defense will be just as good.  The Baltimore Ravens should be strong again in 2012. The team knows that they should have been in the Super Bowl last season, and if they play with that chip on their shoulder, then they will have a good chance to make the Super Bowl this year.
