2012 Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks finished the season towards the bottom of the Western Conference with a record of 34-36-12.  They hope that they can improve in the offseason and have more success next season. The Ducks ranked 23rd in goals scored this year, averaging only 2.5 per game.  Corey Perry (RW) led the team with 37 goals in his 6th season. He also had 23 assists and led the team in penalty minutes.  Ryan Getzlaf (C) had the most assist on the team with 46.  Also, 41-year-old Teemu Selanne (RW) played well for the Ducks this season.  In his 18th season in the NHL, Selanne scored 26 goals and had 40 assists. Defensively, the Anaheim Ducks ranked 19th in the NHL, allowing 2.7 goals per game.  Jonas Hiller had a save percentage of .910 and a goals against average of 2.57 in his fourth season.  Hiller hopes that he can help hold opponents to fewer goals next season. Overall, the Ducks will need to find ways to improve both offensively and defensively.  They hope that they will be more competitive next season.
