What Christmas story has captured the hearts and minds of the North American public quite so much as the famous (or infamous, depending how you look at it) A Christmas Story! Now on Broadway, A Christmas Story is a heart-warming journey about a young boy out to get himself the greatest Christmas present of all time: a one-of-a-kind,  Ryder carbine-action, two hundred shot Range Model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing which tells time! But what else could a young child want!   Originally based on the tongue-in-cheek short, semi-fictional tales by Jean Shepherd, the movie was directed by Bob Clark, and since its inception in 198, it has become a cherished and classic tale of Christmas, more specifically from the slightly skewed perspective of a 9 year-old growing up in Indiana.    Now, this memorable tale of mischief and the trials of growing up is on Broadway, waiting to be told in a new and unique format. Using skilled actors and musicians, A Christmas Story will draw you in like never before as little Ralphie continues his quest for the coveted Red Ryder air rifle. You will see him overcoming the adult derision so aptly characterized by "you'll shoot your eye out!" You will see Ralphie embrace his angry side as he single-handedly takes on his childhood bullies, stopping the constant torment. You will see how he deals with his first encounter with the infamous "F-word," and how his parents deal with it. You will see how he deals with his slightly maniacal father, and what becomes of his precious lamp!  Perhaps most importantly, you will see him on Christmas...and learn whether or not he truly does lose an eye!
